Don, Shannon, and Jack

Here is what I have for the characters so far. Just trying to get something more solid so Jayson has something to go off of. We can change clothes and hair if necessary, but I went off of what everyone seemed to like from the previous drawings. Also did Jack based on Lucie's drawings. The line up on the top is more of what I want for them.

Quick color comps

I tried to use some of Arthur Rackham's color palettes. Tell me what you guys think.

Jack Again

Hi! I tried to switch up the sizes and I added a trebble clef. Great idea Dang! :)
The photoshop drawing I did of the back 3/4 is still a little too flat, but you get the idea I think...
Also, I think maybe the small chest is the more interesting option.

Kley's Stuff

James Gurney just posted something about Kley. Check it out. http://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/

There are books about Kley's painting just recently came out since Aug 25th. These are the paintings I could gather without buying the book online. It looks like he uses watercolor wash over his original drawings. Jackpot!

Rough Out Floor Plan

Hey everyone, I know this isn't Kley's style but this is the most roughest way to figure out how Grandpa Jack's Victorian Duplex will look like. This is based on the duplex shape that Christina, Joelle, and Lucie and I chose today. I will revise the duplex further with better designs. However, at the moment, here is the rough floor plan of the first floor with the piano + living room, kitchen, dining and rest room. Sorry if I didn't get your floor plan suggestions Bjet. Let me know what you guys think. When you guys approve, I will go ahead and draw this floor plan out using Kley's style. At the moment, we only have a few days before we have to show our environment.

Grandpa Jack

Here are some more grandpa jack drawings. I'm thinking we should go with a fat grandpa jack like the one on the far right of the second page. I tried to use music note shapes in his ears and hair. :)

I went more loose and made the house thinner.

Comps 2

More work. Let me know what you think.

I've also made a list for the type of designs that I aim toward based on Grandpa Jack's personality.

1. Happy= warm lighting, round, curvy
2. Welcoming= big open door, hugs, Welcome sign, arrows pointing to the house, inviting
3. Pianist= musical, lively, fun, jumpy, jazzy, bouncy, beat
4. Wise= Old, knowledgeable, glasses, white hair, squinted eyes, droopy houses with long roofs, lots of books in the house, patience, waiting for the right time, don't rush into things.
5. Lower Middle Class= Not so many rooms. Around 3-5 with a living room and about two bathrooms, average house, woods and brick makes up this house. A balcony, a tall tower to observe the view.
